Wispr Flow
Dictation fast and accurate enough to replace typing, in any app, in more than a hundred languages.
Wispr Flow is a dictation tool for Mac, Windows, iOS and Android. It types what you say into whatever application has focus, learns your names and jargon, supports a shared dictionary and snippets, and includes a meeting notetaker. It is free for individuals, fifteen dollars per user per month on Pro, twelve billed annually.
What it is for
- Write long messages at speaking speedA briefing, a reply, a spec: the parts where the thinking is done and the typing is the bottleneck.
- Keep the names rightIt learns your people, products and jargon, which is the single reason dictation stops being a correction exercise.
- Dictate into any applicationIt types into whatever is in front of you, so there is no window to switch to and no text to paste back.
What I measured
- Published price, read 18 Sep 2026: free for individuals, Pro at fifteen dollars per user per month or twelve billed annually, Growth at twenty-three or eighteen, Enterprise on quote.
- The free tier is not a trial: speech to text in any app, over a hundred languages, on Mac, Windows, iOS and Android, with limited notetaker access. The paid tier buys unlimited dictations, team management and admin controls.
- Their site shows prices in the local currency of the visitor, so the dollar figures above are the ones published for the United States.
What it is not for
- You work in a room where talking out loud is not an option. There is no fixing that.
- Your writing is mostly code and symbols rather than sentences.
- You need it to be free at team scale. The free tier is for individuals, team management starts on Pro.
