Fillout pricing: what each tier costs and when to upgrade
Fillout bills by responses, not seats. Every tier's price, read on the pricing page today, and the one month of counting that picks your plan.

Pick Fillout's free plan if your forms collect fewer than a thousand responses a month, and move to Starter the month you go past it. The prices below all come from the pricing page, and we run Fillout in production on client accounts as the booking form that writes into our CRM, so the metering below is the metering we live with, not a guess.
Read the four tiers before the toggle confuses you
Fillout's pricing page opens on its "Billed annually" toggle, and the table further down carries what that state shows. Starter is 15 dollars a month billed annually, 180 dollars a year. Pro is 40 dollars a month billed annually, 480 a year. Business is 75 dollars a month billed annually, 900 a year. Free is 0 dollars and stays that way.
Switch the same page to monthly billing and it crosses out the yearly total instead: 228 dollars for Starter, 588 for Pro, 1,068 for Business. Divide each by twelve to recover the monthly-billing rate: 228 / 12 = 19 dollars for Starter, 588 / 12 = 49 for Pro, 1,068 / 12 = 89 for Business. So the plan some directories quote at 19 and others at 15 is the same plan in two billing states, and the page itself says annual billing saves 20 percent.
| Plan | Responses a month | Billed annually | Billed monthly | What the next tier adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1,000 | 0 dollars | 0 dollars | Unlimited forms, unlimited seats, payments, scheduling, conditional logic |
| Starter | 2,000 | 15 dollars a month (180 a year) | 19 dollars | All question types, CAPTCHA, premium field types, custom endings, login forms, redirect on completion |
| Pro | 5,000 | 40 dollars a month (480 a year) | 49 dollars | Branding removed, custom share links, custom fonts, favicon, CSS, bigger file uploads |
| Business | Unlimited | 75 dollars a month (900 a year) | 89 dollars | Form analytics, drop-off rates, custom domain, custom code, partial submissions, priority support |
One naming trap, and it sits on the vendor's own page: the plan cards at the top say Business, while the detailed comparison table a screen below labels the same fourth column Standard, with the same price and the same feature list. Formbricks noticed the same mismatch in August 2026.
Count what Free gives away before you pay anything
The meter is 1,000 responses every month, account-wide, and it starts again with each new month. Seats carry no charge on any tier, and neither do forms, questions, multi-page flows, file uploads, payments, PDF generation and conditional logic.
That is also the arithmetic behind our choosing a CRM for an agency piece, where the billing unit, not the feature list, decides the bill.
What Free does not carry: CAPTCHA, premium field types, collect-signatures fields, custom endings, redirect on completion, respondent emails, custom domains, custom fonts and CSS, form analytics, drop-off rates and partial submissions. Uploaded files cap at 20 MB per file on every tier except Business, where the page lists 1 GB and up. The Fillout badge shows on free forms, a lighter mark on Starter, and none from Pro up.
A team that needs the badge gone but never crosses 2,000 answers a month sits on Pro, billed annually at 480 dollars a year, and no further. A team that does cross 5,000 has its reason to be on Business.
Try the paid features before the card, and know the refund window
- A new customer who cancels within the first month of a monthly or annual subscription can request a full refund, provided usage was minimal.
- After that first month, upgrades and renewals are refundable within 14 days of a charge, as long as there has been no usage or your usage has not exceeded your previous plan's limits. Past 14 days, refunds become account credit rather than money back.
Add a payment method during a Fillout forms trial and the account upgrades automatically when that trial ends, unless you opt out beforehand; the opt-out lives on the Billing and usage page.
Our own record adds a cheaper way to test Pro: one month free on the Pro plan for an account opened through the link on our fiche. That perk was negotiated with the vendor by Louis Deslus and verified on 22 September 2026, and no public Fillout page publishes it, so treat it as our arrangement, not as a listed price.
Pick the tier from your own counter, not from the feature list
| Your month, measured | What to do |
|---|---|
| Under a thousand responses | Stay on Free. Watch the badge, not the price |
| 1,000 to 2,000, or you need CAPTCHA and login forms | Starter, 15 a month billed annually |
| 2,000 to 5,000, or the badge has to go | Pro, 40 a month billed annually |
| Over 5,000, or you need form analytics, a custom domain, drop-off rates | Business, 75 a month billed annually |
| A spike late in the month | You can wait: forms keep collecting past the limit until the reset |
Who should not pay the 89 dollars a month, billed monthly, for Business: a team that needs the volume but has never opened an analytics page. Form analytics, drop-off rates and partial submissions are the whole difference between Pro and Business once the response cap goes unlimited, and a form nobody studies is a form those features cannot help.
Typeform's Basic plan, read on their pricing page today, is 25 USD per month on yearly billing with three seats and a 1,000 response monthly base, and seats are counted per plan. Fillout's free tier already carries that volume with unlimited seats, which is why we run the booking form on client accounts rather than a per-seat form product. The same reasoning, applied to schedulers rather than form builders, is what the Calendly alternatives comparison works through.
Move between plans without losing the month
You can change or cancel at any time from the Billing and usage page, and you are not charged again unless you upgrade or reactivate.
If the meter matters to your decision, the sister pieces carry the practical side: how a qualify-then-book flow uses the same object, and the free tier's limits in detail for anyone still deciding whether to pay at all.

What people still ask
Does Fillout have a free trial?
No time-limited one. Free lasts forever with unlimited forms and seats, so you build the real workflow before paying. One caveat: add a card during a forms trial and the account auto-upgrades when that trial ends, unless you opt out beforehand.
What happens if I go over my submissions limit?
Your forms keep collecting responses. You then upgrade, or you wait for the count to reset on the 1st of the next month.
