Fillout's free plan costs 0 dollars a month and covers unlimited forms and unlimited seats, with a cap of 1,000 responses per month. Pass the cap and your forms keep collecting; the count resets on the 1st.
We run Fillout in production on client accounts, and the full Fillout review keeps the pricing grid we re-read each month. This page is about the free plan specifically: what it holds, what it rations, and when the rationing starts to matter.
Check what the free plan includes before you build
The pricing page, read on 28 October 2026, lists the free plan at 0 dollars a month, marked Free, forever. The plan row reads: unlimited seats, unlimited forms, 1,000 responses per month. Unlimited seats is not a small line: the same page invites you to bring your whole company on for nothing, so the free plan is not a single-user trial that expires.
The comparison grid on that page spells out what the free plan leaves out, and the list is short enough to name. Custom fonts: not included in free, and not in Starter either; they arrive at Pro. Collect signatures: not included in free, included from Starter up. View partial submissions: not in free, not in Starter, not even in Pro; that one waits for Standard. Granular permissions and access controls live at Team and Enterprise tiers. External-only storage is Enterprise.
For a booking form, the two that matter are signatures and fonts. If your form ends in a quote someone must sign, that single field pushes you to Starter.
Count your submissions before you commit
The reset is calendar-bound. Fillout's own FAQ says the count resets on the 1st of the next month. Launch late in a month and you inherit whatever room the month has left.
What happens at the cap is the part worth knowing before it happens. Your forms will still collect responses after the limit, and you then choose: upgrade, or wait for the reset on the 1st. Nothing is silently dropped, and nothing is held hostage. On our production accounts, measured on 22 September 2026, Fillout writes each answer into the CRM and creates the record, so a response collected past the cap reaches the CRM through the same API path as any other.
If you're comparing booking tools rather than plans, we've written Calendly alternatives for bookings that need a form first, because the form-then-slot shape is exactly what Fillout does in one object.
Pay only when the free cap stops you
Starter is the first paid tier: 15 dollars per month when billed annually, 180 dollars a year; month to month, the page shows 228 dollars for the year. The annual saving is advertised as 20% on the page. Pro is 40 dollars per month billed annually, 480 dollars a year, against 588 at the monthly rate. Business is 75 dollars per month billed annually, 900 dollars a year, against 1,068 monthly.
| Plan | Responses/mo | Price (billed annually) | What unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1,000 | 0 dollars | Unlimited forms, unlimited seats |
Set up your first form on the free plan
Build the form, then add the booking step to the same object so a submitted answer becomes a scheduled call on the spot. That single-object shape is why the tool is in our stack, and it's the setup we describe in Qualify and book on one page: the answers arrive attached to the meeting, so whoever takes the call already knows why it exists.
Before you publish, check the two paywalls that touch a booking flow. Signatures are Starter and up. Custom fonts are Pro and up. If your brand rules force a specific typeface on client-facing forms, the free plan will fight you; if they don't, nothing in the booking path is gated.
Then watch the counter through the first month rather than assuming. The cap is 1,000 responses, it resets on the 1st, and overflow responses are still collected while you decide.
